Kaslo Bull Trout Productivity 2017

The suggested citation for this analytic report is: Thorley, J.L. and Dalgarno, S.I.J. (2018) Kaslo Bull Trout Productivity 2017. A Poisson Consulting Analysis Report. URL: http://www.poissonconsulting.ca/f/443864882. Background The Kaslo River and Keen Creek, which is a tributary of the Kaslo River, are important Bull Trout spawning and rearing tributaries on Kootenay Lake. From 2012 to 2017, field crews have night-snorkeled both systems in the fall and recorded all juvenile Bull Trout between 30 mm and 350 mm in length.

Quesnel Lake Exploitation Analysis 2017

The suggested citation for this analytic report is: Thorley, J.L. and Dalgarno, S. (2018) Quesnel Lake Exploitation Analysis 2017. A Poisson Consulting Analysis Report. URL: http://www.poissonconsulting.ca/f/942646731. Background Quesnel Lake supports a recreational fishery for large Bull Trout, Lake Trout and Rainbow Trout. To provide information on the natural and fishing mortality, trout were caught by angling and tagged with acoustic transmitters and/or reward tags. Methods Data Preparation The outing, receiver deployment and fish capture and recapture information were provided by the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and entered by Vicky Lipinski and databased by Gary Pavan.

URL: http://www.poissonconsulting.ca/f/577548349. Background The key management questions to be addressed by the analyses are: Is there a change in abundance of adult life stages of fish using the Middle Columbia River (MCR) that corresponds with the implementation of a year-round minimum flow? Is there a change in growth rate of adult life stages of the most common fish species using the MCR that corresponds with the implementation of a year-round minimum flow?

URL: http://www.poissonconsulting.ca/f/533988777. Background With the recent decline in the number of Kokanee, there is an imperative to estimate the abundance of piscivorous Gerrard Rainbow Trout and Bull Trout in Kootenay Lake. In this report we estimate the abundance of both species of trout by age- and size-class for 2011, because in this year:
